OVERVIEW

The workshop aims to promote an interdisciplinary dialogue between research, with a focus on nanotechnologies, public health priorities, and the challenges to ensure healthy longevity from an environmental and economic sustainability perspective. The primary objective is to launch a national multidisciplinary round table to foster collaboration between research, industry, and public sectors. This synergy aims to accelerate responsible innovation oriented towards healthy longevity.

Aging in good health represents one of the major challenges of the future. To address it effectively, preparation, targeted strategies, and personalized self-care routines and well-being improvement are necessary. In this context, nanotechnologies and nanomedicine can play a key role.

In addition to discussing scientific and technological challenges, the workshop – organized as part of the Nano Innovation 2025 International Conference – intends to initiate a discussion aimed at translating research discoveries and advancements into sustainable healthcare solutions and innovative projects aimed at ensuring healthy longevity through public-private collaboration.

The main objective is the development of a shared work plan and a set of collaborative proposals through brainstorming sessions, where all participants can contribute ideas and insights. The round table will elaborate concrete recommendations and proposals to help improve the national strategy towards healthy longevity and individual and community well-being.

Areas for promoting healthy longevity through interdisciplinary innovation

● Shared work plan: aims to define clear stages and responsibilities, identifying macro-areas of intervention such as personalized prevention and environmental sustainability, creating an Opportunity Map of Healthy Longevity, and establishing timelines for a permanent national round table.
● Set of collaborative proposals: offers pilot projects and immediately actionable partnerships. These include a project on aging prevention based on nanotechnologies and co-design laboratories on sustainable nanomedicine administration practices, as well as guidelines for managing ethical and regulatory issues.
