Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the healthcare sector with the potential to improve patient care and quality of life. Rapid advances in AI can revolutionize healthcare by integrating it into clinical practice, helping to improve disease diagnosis, treatment selection, and clinical laboratory testing, optimize drug dosages, improve population health management, establish guidelines, and improve patient education. AI-based algorithms and technologies that can leverage large data sets and identify patterns applicable in different fields of healthcare will be presented.
This symposium will include new applications of AI that incorporate innovative approaches such as the development of digital twins in clinical trials and digital biobanking. Finally, the issues and obstacles that must be addressed in order to protect one's innovations made using AI tools applied to the life sciences sector through patents will be described.
