This symposium explores how digital technologies are driving circularity in the manufacturing and process industries. It begins with an overview of key digital enablers—such as data spaces, digital twins, and AI—that support resource efficiency and sustainability. Following this introduction, three concrete examples from EU-funded projects will be presented. These case studies will highlight real-world applications of digital tools to optimize material use, extend product life cycles, and reduce waste. Together, the interventions demonstrate the transformative role of digital innovation in accelerating the circular economy transition across industrial sectors. |
